Taylor Stuffs More Stockings than Keyshia, Jamie or Fall Out Boy
12/24/2008 2:13 PM, E! Online
David Jenison
In a blow to many a boy's imagination, Taylor Swift made Santa's nice list.
The country starlet, who first topped the charts over Thanksgiving, now rules the Christmas roost, holding off naughty-lister Britney Spears and would-be new holiday treats from Keyshia Cole, Jamie Foxx and Fall Out Boy.
Swift's Fearless held at No. 1 on sales of 330,000, per Nielsen SoundScan. Grammy-nominated R&B star Cole was just 8,000 behind with A Different Me, while Foxx's Intuition at No. 3 (265,000), ahead of Spears' Circus (196,000).
New daddy Pete Wentz and his fellow Fall Out Boys scored the third and final Top 10 bow as Folie à Deux checked in at No. 8 with 150,000. The band topped the charts last year with Infinity on High.
In other chart action...
Anthony Hamilton's The Point of It All opened at No. 12 (133,000), Plies' Da Realist entered at No. 14 (114,000), the All-American Rejects' When the World Comes Down checked in at No. 15 (112,000), and Soulja Boy's iSouljaboyTellem landed at No. 43 (46,000).
Across the pond, a bit of competition made for a historic finish on the U.K. chart. Alexandra Burke, winner of the 2008 X Factor (the American Idol equivalent that produced Leona Lewis), topped the singles chart with a Christmas cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." There was a much-publicized online campaign to push Jeff Buckley's 1994 version over Burke's and although it fell short at No. 2, the 1-2 finish marked the first time in nearly 52 years that the same song held the top slot on the British chart. Cohen's original even got in on the action, coming in at No. 36.
Back in Yankee land, overall sales were up by about 30 percent over the previous week but down that same amount compared to last year.
Here's a rundown of the Top 10 albums for the week ended Sunday:
1. Fearless, Taylor Swift
2. A Different Me, Keyshia Cole
3. Intuition, Jamie Foxx
4. Circus, Britney Spears
5. I Am…Sasha Fierce, Beyoncé
6. Dark Horse, Nickelback
7. Twilight soundtrack, various
8. Folie à Deux, Fall Out Boy

Chilean cardinal: Madonna rouses 'impure thoughts'
Madonna is causing "crazy enthusiasm" and "impure thoughts" on her first concert visit to Chile, a prominent retired cardinal complained on Wednesday, as he paused in a tribute to a late dictator to denounce the pop star.
Roman Catholic Cardinal Jorge Medina criticized the flamboyant singer during his homily at a Mass in honor of the late dictator Augusto Pinochet, who oversaw the deaths of some 3,200 dissidents during his 1973-1990 rule.
"This woman comes here and in an incredibly shameless manner, she provokes a crazy enthusiasm, an enthusiasm of lust, lustful thoughts, impure thoughts," said Medina, the cardinal who was chosen to announce the election of Pope Benedict XVI.
Hundreds of fans spent three days camping outside the National Stadium in Santiago to get good spots for Wednesday's concert, the first of two. About 60,000 people were expected at each performance.
One of those waiting in line, Roberto Lopez, told local reporters that he had quit his job in the southern city of Punta Arenas because his boss hadn't given him time off to attend the concert.
Pinochet died Dec. 10, 2006, at age 91.
Medina said that some of those who claim to seek justice for violations of human rights under the dictator are actually seeking revenge.
(This version CORRECTS as Benedict XVI sted XV)

Practice daily: Yes! Practice daily! Not less than two hours a day (one in the morning, and one in the afternoon, evening or night). I told you that it would be hard.
Practice efficiently: During the time segments you assigned to practicing, do just that.
Practice. Practice the lessons, exercises, scales, chords, pieces you must practice. Be clearly sincere with yourself. Dont fool yourself, thinking that you are doing your practice when you're only playing something you like to play and not what you must play.
Play with others: Whenever possible, specially when you have reached a playing knowledge and skills (and it isn't required very much), play sometimes with other guitar players.

Learn How To Sing High Notes
Amongst the vast range of vocal works, you will find high notes sung in most of the glorious, heroic, influential, lofty and passionate musical performances. Its the real greatness bought by the high notes. Such notes often appear in the climaxes of musical works and inspire the emotions of all who hear them.
Audiences love to listen to high notes and singers like to produce them, so this ideal quirk makes singing high notes hugely desirable all round!
Singing high notes could be described as almost instinctive and is indeed within the human nature. Throughout the world, there will be people of all backgrounds, including native minorities from various countries, who sing high notes in the most passionate manners when their emotions are excited. Letting out feelings via high-note vocals is a universal form of expression.
Whatever the reasons may be, its true to say that people who enjoy learning to sing are usually in favor of high-note singing. This phenomenon not only occurs in singers who are already of the high voice range but also exists for those in the low voice group as well. However, desperately shouting high notes is extremely dangerous. People are often misled by the thought that the higher the notes theyve reached by forced straining, the more success they have achieved. Without basic foundation and mastering of the correct singing skills of how to sing high notes, however, this shouting method does much more harm than good!
The singing of high notes actually belongs in the advanced stage of vocal training. There is a lot of confusion surrounding this area of singing and too many people tend to rely on their own methods, or blindly imitate their singing idols to produce high notes with uncontrolled, indiscriminate shouting, causing a lot of negative consequences.
Many have developed severe vocal deficiency.
Although I have rich knowledge and experience in the area of singing high notes, I do not actually advocate that people go ahead and sing notes that exceed their ability, nor do I advocate that people sing high notes frequently without the foundation of knowing how to sing them correctly. Besides, high notes are not all there is to the average vocal composition. The performance of a piece of vocal work is determined by many factors; it should be comprehensive and all-rounded in nature, delivering various aspects of sound to the audiences ear.
Nevertheless, singing beautiful and enchanting high notes is still a most stirring idea and is one to be encouraged. But being able to sing them well requires training in order to understand the right method for how to sing high notes.

When you recorded the voice or music inside computer, Soundcard will change the sound wave through audio cable, the microphone or set stereo became the digital data. When the voice was played again, soundcard will change the digital data into the voice that could be heard by us through speaker.

What is Music
Music is an art form in which the medium is sound organized in time. Common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike), "(art) of the Muses".
The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts", music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art.
To people in many cultures, music is inextricably intertwined into their way of life. Greek philosophers and ancient Indians defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as "the harmony of the spheres" and "it is music to my ears" point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, "There is no noise, only sound."According to musicologist Jean-Jacques Nattiez, "the border between music and noise is always culturally defined—which implies that, even within a single society, this border does not always pass through the same place; in short, there is rarely a consensus.… By all accounts there is no single and intercultural universal concept defining what music might be, except that it is 'sound through time'."
